Regardless, I have faith in the dev team to help the app grow and add whatever features they believe would be best. While many of these seem to be trying to turn Dubsmash into a TikTok replica, they are very important features that are keeping many folks on the fence about switching apps entirely. I agree with many of the suggestions my peers are adding such as the ability to save drafts to edit or post at a later time, the ability to make video replies to comments, more filters, the ability to pause, etc.
In the past, they’ve always been quick to respond, and have added features as their users suggest them, while many people believe that TikTok doesn’t listen to their user base at all. You can look through the other reviews and see how responsive they are. The highest point of praise that I can give to Dubsmash is that the devs actually LISTEN to their user base. I know that many cosplayers (including myself) are currently using both apps for our content as the app grows, but I feel very confident that Dubsmash and cosplay have a bright future together. I, as well as many other cosplayers, have been getting pretty frustrated with TikTok as of late, but thanks to the suggestion of a peer, many of us are beginning to transition to Dubsmash instead.
